What frame chaining is

Frame chaining is first-frame / last-frame video generation used as a transition technique. You generate shot A, take its final frame, and hand that frame to shot B as its starting frame. The model fills in continuous camera motion between the two.

Because the two shots literally share a frame, there is no cut and no crossfade. The camera appears to keep moving through the scene.

Why it beats a crossfade

A crossfade blends two unrelated images and reads as an effect. Frame chaining produces real motion the model authored, so a zoom, a travel, or a scene change looks like one continuous take.
