First-frame / last-frame

Definition
First-frame / last-frame is video generation where you supply the opening frame, the closing frame, or both, and the model fills in continuous motion between them. Instead of hoping a clip lands, you pin the images you want at each end and let the model author the movement that connects them.
How it works in FXI Studio
In FXI Studio, first-frame / last-frame control is what makes shots answerable to a plan. You decide where a shot begins and ends, and the generation connects them, so a zoom or a travel resolves on the exact frame you intended.
It is also the building block of frame chaining: the last frame of one shot becomes the first frame of the next, which is how a sequence flows with no cut or crossfade.
