A title and logline, the recurring characters with a fixed look for each, the locations, and six scenes in story order. Every scene lists its shot size, what the camera sees, who is in it, any spoken line, the ambience and effects, and how it joins the scene before it: one continuous camera move or a hard cut.

How to turn a story into a film plan

1. Paste your story. Paste a story, a scene or a full script, up to 4,000 characters. A few sentences is enough.
2. Get the six-scene board. Bezaleel, FXI Studio’s filmmaking partner, boards it into six scenes in about a minute: hook, who and where, spark, turn, climax and payoff.
3. Read the shot plan. Each scene has a title, a shot description, the location, the characters in it, a sound note and an edit note for how it cuts in.
4. Copy it or build it. Copy the whole blueprint as text, or press Build this in FXI to open the same board in the studio and roll it into a film.
