Use FXI Studio with Perplexity

Perplexity finds the references. FXI Studio turns them into images, video clips and whole scenes. Here is how to connect the two, and what to do if your Perplexity app has no connector option yet.

FXI Studio is not a built-in Perplexity connector. Where your Perplexity app lets you add a custom remote connector, use the server URL on this page.

Step by step

If your Perplexity app supports custom connectors

Connector options depend on your Perplexity app and plan.

  1. Open Connectors

    In Perplexity, open Settings and look for Connectors.

  2. Add FXI Studio

    If you can add a custom or remote MCP connector, name it FXI Studio and paste the server URL.

  3. Sign in and ask

    Sign in to FXI Studio when asked, or create a free account with 65 credits. Then ask Perplexity to make a still or a clip.

If it does not, use both side by side

  1. Research in Perplexity

    Ask Perplexity for references: period details, locations, lighting, shot ideas. Copy the parts you want.

  2. Open FXI Studio

    Create a free FXI Studio account (65 credits) and paste your brief into the composer.

  3. Direct the scene

    Bezaleel, the AI director, plans the shots. Your images and clips save to your FXI Studio library.

What you can do once Perplexity is connected

  • Make stills

    Describe a frame and get a cinematic image back in the chat.

  • Make video clips

    Turn a prompt or one of your stills into a short clip.

  • Chain shots

    Frame chaining starts each clip from the last frame of the one before, so motion stays continuous.

  • Compose scenes

    Hand over a brief and get a multi-shot scene planned and generated.

  • Use your characters

    Reuse the characters and images saved in your FXI Studio account.

  • Keep everything

    Every result saves to your FXI Studio library, ready to edit on the web.

New accounts start with 65 free credits, and free-plan credits refill weekly. Each generation uses credits from your FXI Studio account; the cost is checked before anything runs, and refused or failed requests are not charged. See plans and packs.

Does FXI Studio work inside Perplexity?
