Add FXI Studio to Gemini

Gemini CLI connects to FXI Studio’s hosted MCP server with one command. Make images, video clips and whole scenes from your terminal, saved to your FXI Studio library.

FXI Studio is not a built-in Gemini extension. You add it yourself with its server URL, today most reliably in Gemini CLI.

Step by step

Gemini CLI

  1. Add the server

    From your terminal, add FXI Studio as a remote HTTP server.

    gemini mcp add --transport http fxi-studio https://mcp.fxi.studio/mcp

  2. Sign in

    Start Gemini CLI and run /mcp auth fxi-studio. A browser window opens: sign in to FXI Studio, or create a free account with 65 credits.

  3. Check and ask

    Run /mcp to see fxi-studio and its tools, then ask. For example: make a still of a desert motel at night, then turn it into a slow push-in clip.

Prefer an API key?

For scripts and machines without a browser.

  1. Create a key

    In FXI Studio, open Settings and create an API key. Treat it like a password.

  2. Add the server with the key

    Pass the key as a header instead of signing in.

    If your Gemini settings offer a way to add a custom MCP server or connector by URL, paste the FXI Studio server URL and sign in when asked.

How do I add FXI Studio to Gemini CLI?
Run gemini mcp add --transport http fxi-studio https://mcp.fxi.studio/mcp in your terminal, then start Gemini CLI and run /mcp auth fxi-studio to sign in. Run /mcp to confirm the tools are loaded.
Can I use FXI Studio in the Gemini app?
Only where your Gemini app lets you add a custom MCP server by URL. FXI Studio is not a built-in Gemini extension. Gemini CLI supports custom servers today, and the FXI Studio web app works everywhere.
