Upscaling

Definition
Upscaling increases the resolution of an image or video while reconstructing detail, rather than simply stretching pixels. A frame generated at a working size is enlarged and sharpened so edges, texture, and fine detail hold up on a large screen or in a high-resolution export. It is the finishing pass before delivery.
